Stephen J. Rogers, DPM, FACFAS
Foot and Ankle Physician, Surgeon

Specializing in the surgical repair of pediatric and adult foot and ankle deformities, Dr. Rogers has been a leader in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery in New England for the last 26 years.  He received his bachelor of science degree in bio-chemistry from Albright College, and then his medical degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine located in Philadelphia.  As a summa cum laude graduate, he then went on to complete an additional three years of foot and ankle surgical training at the Graduate Hospital/University of Pennsylvania.

In July of 1995, Dr. Rogers moved to New England and practiced in Pawtucket for two years before he moved to Cranston.  He joined practices with Dr. Robert Gallucci, and they both went on to establish the Foot & Ankle Institute of New England in 2000.  Their first office was and is located in Warwick and they then expanded the practice to include offices in Middletown in 2004 and Fall River in 2008.

Dr. Rogers prides himself on offering personal yet expert care when it comes to the field of reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.  “It’s important to me that patients and their family feel comfortable with me and have easy access to reach me at all hours of day and night when they have a medical problem or emergency.”  His passion extends to diagnosing and repairing complicated deformities which many people thought they would have to live with for the rest of their lives; they were told they were “unfixable”.  “Watching a patient walk pain free for the first time in years is one of the best compliments I receive”

East Greenwich has been home for Dr. Rogers and his son, Luke, for the last seventeen years. When not in the office, he spends his time with the family as well as his close friends and is out early in the morning and many times late at night walking Rosey and Bailey, the family dogs.
